POST-REUNION NEWS - August, 1975

Maestas Family Reunion Held

The families of the late Cirilio and Cresencia Maestas of Holman, New Mexico met in a reunion on August 1st at Los Alamitos, near Tres Ritos, New Mexico, for a three-day camp-out.

Brothers and sisters present were José Maestas, Holman; Ignacio Maestas, Mora; Matías Maestas, Martha Gayton, and Seraida Sanchez, all of Barstow, California. Besides these brothers and sisters and their families, the family of the late Moises Maestas of Holman, New Mexico also attended the reunion.

Another brother, Abenicio, and his family, also of Barstow, were unable to attend. Four members of another sister's family, the late Demetria Espinar of Redwood City, Calif., arrived on the last day of the reunion.

The 118 relatives present came from California, Colorado, Illinois, and New Mexico.

During the get-together, family group pictures were taken and the oldest and youngest of the family, José Maestas, 82, of Holman and Phillip Maestas, one-month-old, were honored.

The reunion was "further blessed by beautiful, New Mexico weather."
