Florence and Floyd Brillhart spent Thanksgiving with Daryl and Josh in Long Beach. During the Christmas holidays

Report from California thanks to Larry Maestas
Adrienne Maestas (Pam's daughter and granddaughter to Carlos & Lucille) Had a huge luau'u for her Sweet 16 party.
There were more than 100 partygoers. They were entertained with games and Polynesian dancers, including a fire
dancer. We have pictures. They're great. Robert Valdez (Cleo's grandson) and his son Christopher came from
Colorado for the party and Bobby Maestas (son of Filimon and Delma) came down from Modesto with his two sons,
Christoher and Steven. Everyone had such a good time. Adrienne's father, Michael, who had just returned from
Iraq, flew in from New York with his two other kids, Thomas and Jennifer.
Victor 'Pops" Maestas (Andy and Marilyn's youngest son) had to be rushed to the hospital for an appendectomy.
He is fine and played in a scout league baseball game 10 days later.
Eric Chavira (Pam's son) broke his right elbow a few weeks ago. He had to have two pins surgically placed in his
elbow. He will be in a cast until right before Christmas. He broke it wrestling around with a friend right after
a soccer game. He has to miss the rest of the season.
We were all affected by the California fires. In Barstow, the smoke was very thick and the local high school gym
was used as a shelter. In L.A., I (Larry) was also covered in smoke. The Simi fire came within a few miles of my
Barbara (Lionorís daughter) and her family spent Thanksgiving in Utah with husband Randy's folks, while her sister
Anna and the rest traveled to Phoenix to spend it with Bercie's (Lionorís wife) daughter.
Remember your secret pal. Now is the time to send a special card.
